This tool gives you the ability to re-flash the drive without having to open the console up again.You will of course need to open the console originally for when you first flash the drive, but you can install the Maximus Blackjack at the same time so you can access the drive in the console without having to open it again in future if you need to update the firmware.
The other feature of this device is so you can use tools like the X360USB Pro v2 to use the drive in your console to rip images of your original titles to your PC. This product wont be for everyone, but there will be a select group of people that the Maximus Blackjack is aimed at and will make the re-flashing process or using the drive in the console as a 0800 drive quicker and simpler.
This product will most likely be used by people that have a Xbox 360 Slim with Lite-On DG-16D4S drive, they have bought an Xecuter Unlocked PCB for their drive and also an X360USB Pro v2 to flash their unlocked PCB with a custom firmware.
The Maximus Blackjack will allow them to update the firmware at a later date without having to open the console again, but also they will be able to use the Xbox 360 console itself along with their X360USB Pro v2 to be able to connect the drive from their console to the PC and make images of their original titles.
This would save these types of people from having to buy a separate Lite-On 0800 drive for making their images.
Now the setup above will still require you are using a PC which has a Molex power connector from the PCs power supply to power the X360USB which in turn powers the DVD drive in the console, but it is slightly neater than the 0800 drive setup and will be an acceptable option for some people. Note if you buy a Molex DC adapter which is basically a standalone DC power pack which has a Molex power cable on the end you could use a Laptop instead of a PC rig.
